A shape is worth a thousand words...

Thinking back to our Coat of Arms (COA) project... the COA was a mathematical and geometric representation of your name and then you colored it to refelct your personality... If you were a to choose a geometric or standard shape that represented you, what would it be? and why?

(examples of sample shapes: circle, hexagon, star, heart, oval, triangle, rectangle, ... use your imagination)

  1. If I were to choose a shape that represents me, I would choose a circle. I would choose this shape because it has 360 degrees. Each degree represents something that I like to do, a personality trait of mine, one of my friends, or just general things about me. Also, no matter how big or small a circle is, it always has 360 degrees; that never changes. :)

  2. I would choose a star for a shape that represents me. I have many different traits, for each of the points of the star. A star is unique also because everyone shines, just like me!

  3. If I were a shape that represented me it would be a square. Because i learned from a camp the four side to this square. They are religious side, mental side, physical side, and social side. Also, i wish to accomplish all of these things.

  5. I would be a triangle because it is pointed at the end. I always find myself pointing in a new direction. I'm not afraid of trying new things or going outside my barrier. I try not to live my life the same way everyday and keep moving on to bigger and better things.

  8. If I were to choose a shape to represent myself it would be a diamond. This is because diamonds have countless sides to them, each displaying a different part of the same object, each side dazzling and pristine.

  12. I think that if I were a shape I would be an oval, because I'm very spread out and diverse. I can also have very different opinions on both sides of a spectrum.

  15. My favorite shape is an octagon because I really like the way that the sides match up. I'm a kind of person who likes symmetry in design, and since an octagon is a symmetrical shape, it seems to fit my personality well. While I don't really have a shape that matches my personality perfectly, the octagon is probably the closest that I can get. I think the reason why I like it so much is because of all the ways it is used: stop signs and other every day objects. it was the kind of thing that I probably noticed a lot when I was younger so this probably contributed to my descriptive shape being an octagon.

  16. If I were to choose a shape that describes me, I would choose a heart. I am a pretty loving person, and hearts symbolize love. Also, hearts have a rounded part and a sharp part. I am nice (the rounded, soft part) but I can stand up for myself (the sharper part).
